En 2010, le Conseil Régional de Bretagne a confié à la MEITO, la réalisation d’un appel à projets destiné aux PME-PMI bretonnes et dont l'objectif était de venir en soutien de l'action CAPBIOTEK pour laquelle le rôle de la MEITO est de favoriser la convergence des "Tic et Biotech". Par Biotech, il faut entendre tous les domaines où le "vivant" est concerné : la santé, l'agro, l'agri, l'environnement (pollution air, mer, terre), ... que ce soit pour la mesure et le contrôle (biocapteurs), le traitement de la donnée (bioinformatique) ou le système d'information spécifique à ces données.
